You Can Go Your Own Way

 

 

So I’ve been writing (probably poorly) about design, and particularly Microsoft design (which sounds like an oxymoron, but it isn’t); and I wanted to share images that have helped me understand Microsoft design and also some of the design trends in software.

So these images are examples of wayfinding design; you know the signs that tell you where you are, what’s ahead, and how to get there. A big part of what I’m trying to understand is how Metro and really any minimalist design can be designed without feeling repetitive. So I hope you enjoy the images and I will post another set soon.
