Innovation don’t mean Bleep

Innovation is a word that has lost all meaning in regards to technology. It used to be that if something brought a new experience to the public or changed our understanding of the way we work; that was an innovation.

For example: Computers, television, radio, printing press, levees, the combustible engine, and the light bulb. All innovative tech.

My problem, and the tech world’s is that they confuse innovation with iteration, refining, and being first. Iteration, to move quickly, is a great skill to have, but it’s not an innovative act. Adding features or new components is not innovating, that’s what you supposed to do stay relevant. All I want is for people to use any word other than innovation; cause it don’t mean bleep.
